Venue | Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre, 2 Station Rd, South Gosforth NE3 1QD.
Fasting and Purification Retreat
15 April is Buddhaās Enlightenment Day. We celebrate this auspicious day by engaging in the Nyungnay Purification Ritual Practice which will take place on 13th April.
Nyungnay is a special fasting and purification practice performed in conjunction with prostrations and prayers to Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara, the nature of our Guruās compassion. This is a very powerful method for purifying negativity of body, speech, and mind, and for pacifying delusions such as strong attachment and anger. It is also a special way of improving our minds of love, compassion, and receiving the compassionate blessings of Avalokiteshvara.
* You are welcome to join all or any of the sessions provided you receive the Mahayana Precepts at 6:30am on that day.
Abstain from meals apart from lunch (vegetarian lunch will be available at the Centre, you can book when you make the online booking).
