Wishfulfilling Jewel with Tsog

Guru Yoga + prayers for Spiritual Protection with Tsog offering

Prayers addressed to the Wisdom Buddha, Je Tsongkhapa, and the Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden. Through this practice, we can purify our negativities, accumulate spiritual energy (or merit), receive inspiration, and attain powerful compassion, wisdom and spiritual power. We can also overcome obstacles to our spiritual progress and create the right conditions for our inner qualities to grow.

In this ritual prayer we also make offerings of vegetarian foods & nonalcoholic drinks as a method to create more positive energy. All of this is shared amongst the participants at the end.

Duration: 1h15min

No need to book or previous experience, just come along.

  • What is a Buddhist group prayer?

It is a meditation ritual practice together, in summary. The chantings are meant to remind the practitioners of the different mental qualities that are meant to be developed in order to achieve the results of such practice.

  • What happens in a Buddhist prayer?

A buddhist prayer is a group ceremony, in which the assembly practice a ritual meditation together. It is customary to chant out loud during these practices, but you can simply join and follow the chantings mentally, too.

  • What is the purpose?

The main purpose is to create positivity and reduce our inner negativity. A group prayer (or puja, as buddhists call it) is a very powerful method to do such things, because people strengthen the power of the practice by doing it together.

  • Can anybody join?

Yes, the chanted prayers are open to everyone regardless of religious background or different faith.
