Half Day Course: The Art of Acceptance
Saturday – 3 October | 10:00 – 13:00h (in-person or online)
Half-Day Course: The Art of Acceptance – Learn to let go of what you cannot change, with Gen Kelsang Dragpa
Finding calm and clarity when life doesn’t go to plan
Do you find yourself quietly pushing against life — replaying conversations, resisting what’s happening, wishing things were different?
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you’re not failing. This is simply what happens when a good heart meets a difficult world.
Acceptance, or patient acceptance, is a special state of mind through which we can relate to our unhappiness, anger and conflict, in an open, creative way. When acceptance arises in our heart it frees us up from our mental tension and stress, and allows our natural happiness and courage to surface. In this half-day course, through contemplation and guided meditations, we will come to experience the healing qualities of this special mind, and learn how to apply it practically in our daily life.
About this workshop – The Art of Acceptance is a gentle, practical workshop designed to help you develop inner calm in the midst of everyday difficulties.
Through guided meditations and clear explanations, you’ll explore how to:
- Stop exhausting yourself by mentally resisting what can’t be changed
- Relate to difficult people and situations with greater ease
- Accept yourself with kindness, without lowering your standards
- Find a stable sense of peace that isn’t dependent on everything going your way
Many people are surprised by how practical and relieving these teachings feel — not theoretical, not abstract, but immediately applicable to real life.
Everybody welcome. Suitable for all levels of experience.
