Foundation study Programme with Gen Kelsang Dragpa

The Foundation Programme (FP) is for those who wish to learn Buddhist meditation and practice in a structured way by studying specific books. Each session consists of chanted prayers, guided meditations, teaching and paired discussion. Learn to develop deep inner peace and true happiness by uniting Buddhist wisdom with your daily life.

This study class is based on the book “Universal Compassion” by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Gen Kelsang Dragpa

Gen Kelsang Dragpa is a modern Kadampa Buddhist monk and teacher from the Netherlands. He is a Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Netherlands in Amsterdam and the National Spiritual Director for the Nordic region and the Netherlands. Gen Dragpa teaches in a practical and accesible way.

Can I join the programme at any time?
Those who want to go deeper in their study of Buddhist meditation usually start on our FP or TTP study programmes after gaining some experience through our general programme (weekly drop-in classes and weekend courses). For FP or TTP pre-enrolment is required, but it is possible to hop on the programme at any time.
How much does it cost?
To participate in Foundation or Teacher Training Programme, students needs to have a Study Membership. Read more about what is included in this monthly membership.
Do I have to attend on site?
Those who live far away or for other valid reasons cannot participate in person can choose to participate via live stream.
