Half Day Course: Free Yourself from Negative Thoughts & Limiting Beliefs
Saturday – 19 December | 10:00 – 13:00h (in-person or online)
Half-Day Course: Free Yourself from Negative Thoughts & Limiting Beliefs – with Gen Kelsang Dragpa
We can learn to temporarily overcome our negative thoughts first by doing breathing meditation, a very powerful tool to experience a peaceful mind. Then with that experience we can recognize that our mind is inherently peaceful—like a clear blue sky—and that negative thoughts and limited beliefs are just temporary “clouds” in the mind. By learning to separate ourself from these unhelpful minds through contemplation and meditation, we can gently let them go.
Instead of suppressing or distracting ourselves from difficult feelings—which often only keeps them alive—we can learn to acknowledge them without fear or resistance. By accepting them with patience and compassion, we begin to relax and let them pass naturally. As our mind becomes calmer, we discover that beneath our changing thoughts and emotions lies a deeper source of peace, clarity, and wellbeing. In Buddhist practice, we learn to identify with this inner potential for lasting peace, which is always present within us.
Everybody welcome. Suitable for all levels of experience.
